Thanks to your donations, over the weekend we not only reached our goal of $8,000, we surpassed it by nearly $1,000! You and your efforts have raised $8,936 for Refugee Student Mentor Program Transportation -- you have our sincerest thanks for all of your support, time and donations.
Our campaign remains alive and kicking, and should you wish to help us in spreading the word further during our remaining 8 days we will put all additional funds raised to the same use as the first $8,000: giving our volunteers the freedom to go where they can do the most good for the most refugee children.
We will update you as our efforts continue, and we hope each one of you shares in the sense of accomplishment this achievement brings.

$15 is the average cost of two rides using a ride-share service from UT's campus to a public school in Austin. Most of our volunteers go to AISD schools twice a week.
$60 would fund all volunteers traveling to one AISD school in a week. We have an average of 2 volunteers placed at each school we work with, and this money would allow those volunteers, no matter their schedules, to have transportation for their volunteering.
