Do you ever wonder how bilinguals understand and use both languages? Do they process language like their monolingual counterparts? We're doing research to understand just that! This project seeks to understand how Spanish-English bilingual children and adults process grammatical structures in Spanish. Participants come in on weekdays and weekends for about 2 hours to participate in the study. Their vocabulary is tested in both languages as well as their ability to understand Spanish grammatical structures. They answer questions about what languages they hear and use on a regular basis. This study will help us better understand how one's amount of language use affects one's ability to process grammar. Your money will go towards paying participants directly as well as for the cost of standardized tests.
