2 Days to Go!

December 03, 2015

We've got 2 days to go for the campaign!!  We're pulling out all the stops for our last 48 hours, and hope to capitalize on the momentum of your generosity this weekend.  So far, with our grand total, we're able to:

1. repair broken playground equipment at Hawthorne Montessori School

2. build active vegetable gardens at several area elementary schools to be used by the school for both food and education

3.  clear paths, remove trash and debris, and install walking trails for children to use along routes to and from schools

And:

We'd also like to extend a huge THANK YOU to our donors, anonymous and named, for your contributions over the last 4 days.  With a total of $705, we've raised enough to build an outdoor classroom at Walnut Creek Elementary School.

We also would like to thank our anonymous donors for their generosity as well.

#GivingTuesday  We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. Now, we have #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.  It’s a simple idea. Just find a way for your family, your community, your company or your organization to come together to give something more. Then tell everyone you can about how you are giving. Join us and be a part of a global celebration of a new tradition of generosity. (From the #GivingTuesday website)

In the spirit of the holiday season, we ask that you give whatever amount you can in order for us to achieve our goal.  With your contributions, we will acquire more tools and supplies to bring in more volunteers for Project 2016.  We are passionate about serving our neighbors in Rundberg and we would love for you to join us in celebrating this passion.  If you are unable to make a monetary donation, please consider giving us your time by sharing with family and friends information about Project 2016 as well as our fundraising campaign.

Remember, we have until December 5th to reach our goal, so please consider giving what you can during this first week of the holiday season!

Thanks, and Hook 'em!
