Update #1

November 15, 2019

Wow! The first week flew by with incredible momentum. A huge thank you to all of our donors and everyone who showed their support on social media at the beginning of the event. We were able to reach 81% of our goal in just 48 hours!

To keep you updated with what your contributions support, we'll be sharing TSTV highlights of the last week. This last week was a busy one in the News department with not one but two big-time interviews.

Executive Producers from Tower Talks, our political round-table discussion show, sat down last Tuesday with United States Representative Daniel Crenshaw to discuss the current political climate, political civility, and how to move forward. Check out their Facebook page to see the full interview.

The next morning, Executive Producers from Good Morning Texas met with Jimmy Fallon from The Tonight Show to bring him up to speed on Texas culture before filming his show here on campus. They posted the full interview on Instagram, which can be found on their page here

Another great week in the books here at TSTV. Be sure to share your TSTV memories and photos/videos from your time here on social media with our hashtag #TSTV25.

Stay tuned for more!

$25

Batteries

Batteries are the source of life for much of our electronic equipment. With $25, you help us power equipment like cameras, microphones, recording devices, and lights.

$50

Microphones

Audio is an essential part of TV production. Without great audio, there won’t be great footage. The $50 that you donate will help us purchase microphones for better video quality.

$100

External storage

With all of the production going on during the semester, we need somewhere to put video and photo content! Additional storage space will help us store and preserve our content for the future of TSTV.

$200

Lights

Shooting on location takes a lot of pre-production and the environment doesn’t always cooperate with us. Lighting kits make sure our talent look their best while filming on set.

$500

Camera Lenses

A selection of camera lenses in our equipment closet allows our shows and production team to select the best shot for the best product. Paid productions are a significant source of revenue for the station, so better quality products allow us to further invest in our future!

$2,500

Quarter Century

TSTV is beginning its 25th year. Many people have walked through our studio, going on to be leaders in all areas of the media environment. With this, we can plan and prepare for another 25 years of broadcasting!
