We've got until 9 am on Friday, December 6th to raise money to send future teachers abroad!
We have ten special education majors who will be studying abroad this summer. This is the most we have ever had as a department and is better than the UT average (10% vs 8%). You all are a huge reason why we have increased these numbers. Finances keep many of our students from experiencing the world through study abroad - which then impacts their ability to change the world in their future classrooms.
Thank you so much for contributing to our efforts. I have been overwhelmed by the support our students have gotten - from family members of current students, Special Education faculty, Special Education alumni, and the leadership of our College of Education.
We've got a little less than 48 hours to raise additional funds. I'd love to see us get over $8000, so that each student can have $800 to apply towards the program costs ($5000). Please help us continue the momentum we have by donating more if possible or sharing this website with people who may be interested in supporting future special education teachers seize the world by the horns!
Woohoo! Let's keep going!
A HUGE thank you to all who have donated so far. We hit our goal in one week. That is absolutely amazing.
And we aren't done yet. We want to raise even more money to help future special education teachers study abroad. Every $5000 we raise will fully fund one student. Let's keep going!
