You missed our 5K but you can still donate to the Student Emergency Fund if you click here!
Texas ECE challenges our students, faculty, staff, and alumni to take care of yourselves and each other by participating in this Virtual 5K and fundraiser for the UT Student Emergency Fund.
The spread of COVID-19 has changed our lives for the months ahead. As we navigate daily uncertainty and change, our community is coming together to support the UT students who need our help most. Donations to the UT Student Emergency Fund will help provide students with emergency support from UT to ensure they are fed, housed and able to participate in our new online learning model.
Register to participate as an individual or on behalf of your registered ECE student organization by clicking the "Ambassadors" tab on this page and following the prompts to quickly create your personalized fundraising link.
Share your fundraising link with friends and family to encourage them to donate to the UT Student Emergency Fund. Fundraising will be open between Noon, Friday, 8/28 and Noon, Friday, 9/4. You'll receive credit for any funds raised through your fundraising link, so be sure to encourage people to donate from that link directly, and track your progress!
Join our Virtual 5K in whatever way works best for you - run, jog, walk, dance, cycle, or swim 5 kilometres at the location of your choice and at whatever pace works for you. Just finish sometime between Noon, Friday, 8/28 and Noon, Friday, 9/4. Have fun!
When you run your race, share pictures, videos, or your GPS route to social media! Be sure to include #TexasECE5K when you post!
Anyone is welcome to donate to this Virtual 5K hornraiser, but only current Texas ECE students are eligible for prizes. Prizes are generously supported by Texas Instruments and include the following:
Participation Raffle: Individual students that generate $5 in donations or more will be automatically entered into a Texas Instruments swag raffle!
Top Individual Fund Raiser: The individual student that raises the most funds will receive a special care package from Texas Instruments!
Top Student Org Fund Raiser: The ECE Student Organization that raises the most funds will receive $1,000 from Texas Instruments, to use toward club activities!
Prizes will be announced during the ECE Pieathlon virtual event on Friday, 9/4 at 3 PM. A Zoom registration link will be posted to current students via Canvas.
Have fun and Hook 'em!
