"Light Feather" is the name of the lightest female weight class in Jiu Jitsu, and consequently the lightest weight class in competitive BJJ (as per IBJJF). Competitors in this category must weigh a maximum of 118 pounds. Donations will cover rash guard expenses.
"Super Heavy" is the name of the second heaviest male weight class in Jiu-Jitsu, beat only by "Ultra Heavy", which does not have a weight limit. Consequently, Super Heavy is the heaviest capped weight class in competitive BJJ (as per IBJJF). Competitors in this category must weigh a maximum of 221 pounds. Donations will cover rash guard expenses.
In 1993, the first ever UFC Championship was held in Denver, CO. Winning every single one of his matches, Royce Gracie proved to everyone that Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is one of the most effective, useful, and lethal martial arts in the world (and also that boxing with one glove was maybe a bad idea). Donations will cover rash guard expenses for the whole team!
