Thank you for your donation. With your help, we are helping the world to create better communities!
Hello Everyone!!
We are four days away from this fundraising ending!! This last month has been incredible but also busy. Today, we are presenting our 2nd milestone presentation, which is the final task of this semester, and getting ready for our finals week. Throughout this month, we had done several events outside of Hornraiser, like a bake sale and selling some water on Six Street over the weekends to collect more money. We are at 79% today and started the morning with $11,960. Wauuu!! We are incredibly grateful for each of the donors who have been helping us through this process. This project would be nothing without your contributions. Since we are at the end of this semester, here are some updates about the project:
* We had another meeting with our NGO (United Way of Jamaica) during Thanksgiving break, which helped us to get the measurements from the entire school, and we have already started working on our actual drawings to add the new staircase.
*During the winter break, we plan to keep meeting with the NGO and as a group to ensure we are on track to start the next semester. We also plan to decide soon when to visit Jamaica for the implementation and start looking for flight tickets.
*We are preparing for more fundraising activities if we don't collect all the money when Hornraiser closes.
We are ready to finish the semester strong!! Please help us keep spreading the word so we can reach our goal. Once again, we are so grateful for every contribution to our project. We will also post more about our progress on our Instagram page soon (@pucjamaica24) to keep you guys updated.
Thank you all again,

We will be doubling the amount of steps at the school, from 20 steps to 40 steps.
100% of your donation will go to building costs, labor costs and our technical advisors.
Joanette is a PUC Service Learning Board (SLAB) Member who proposed for PUC to start a project in Jamaica. And the most exciting part: She's Jamaican! Her favorite movie is 500 Days of Summer
Building a second staircase at the school will increase safe evacuation in an emergency.
This is the amount of money that we need for our project. :)
